Skype security and privacy concerns
Scott Granneman, 2005-09-22

One of my stranger hobbies is collecting interesting and weird anecdotes I find in the news. I have a few areas that always fascinate me, such as finding people who miraculously escape certain death, or items about human memory and cognition, or eccentric individuals who embody some strange aspect of the human condition.

Absolutely ridiculous statement. The equivalent would be: "It's OK to give nuclear bombs to every citizen who asks for one because there is no indication that they will abuse them". The fact that there is a possibility for abuse and that the public will be left at the mercy of a that particular "Law Enforcement" organization, to decide whether to abuse this information at some point in the future is the root of the problem here.
