Linux'es, linux'es.... Yes, there are lots of 'em. I'm not saying that they're BAD just because their are Linux'es.... And I've seen and tested LOT'S of 'em. And only two of them are good in my opinion. First - Gentoo. Still raw code, potentially insecure - but MANY GOOD IDEAS in OS architecture and management. They're in the beginning of their way to build a good OS, but if they'll move in the same direction - they'll make it. And second one - the ONLY(belive me, the one and only) Linux that can be trusted and can be used in production environment - the old-good Slackware. It's simple, but versatile. By the way - BSD can run the Linux binaries well and mos of the cases BETTER than the Linux itself. I have my Ultima Online server based on RedHat-compiled POL, and it's 35% faster and reliable under FreeBSD BRANCH4-STABLE. And the "lamer problem" - you're right. It's teh only reason in most of cases - I'm IT security specialist and I can tell so basing on my 14 years of practice. And this problem will perish only with lamers.
