Most of the time I feel that a judge is going to be hard pressed to determine effeciency of an expert witness, eventually allowing or disallowing an appearance in front of a jury, keeping in mind that even really smart people cant fix their own boxes at home.
I feel that experience and knowledge should be enough, but apparently the Georgia Judicial Grand Poobahs think differently and require PI licensure.
Ok fine. Cant be that hard can it? I mean, check out that Dog guy, the Bounty Hunter. He is a PI, right? Hell, if he can do it, than so can any other Computer Forensics Guy. Quit whining and get certified then, or join a PI firm and get them to figure out a way to make it easy. Its Georgia, not brain surgery.
How many PI firms now will be hiring Forensic Geeks? I see this as an opportunity and not a stumbling block.
