I agree. I engineer solutions based on existing anti-spam / anti-virus / encryption technologies, all seamless, all invisible to the users, all those good things. As long as users remain users and there is profit motive behind spamming or other malevolant use of email, there will be a way found to propogate the junk that keeps people like me gainfully employed. In any effort to rid the world of a problem, there must be effort and attention paid to the problem. Sadly, we live in an era where unless its a quick, easy fix implemented with zero effort, people simply are not interested.
