Browsers, phishing, and user interface design
Scott Granneman, 2006-06-05

Phishing works for so many reasons, we need to rethink browser and user interface design to provide some real-life security to the average user who doesn't see or understand the security cues.

Ok, I have an idea on how to make a lot of lay people aware of the many tricks on the web. And even make money while doing it. The first ten people that.... just kidding, but the idea might work if the right people get involved.

Make a movie, a comedy, about some Joe Schmoe (Eddie Murphy) falling for every know trick on the web, while he is trying to find information on some girl that he met on a park.

Well, the plot doesn't have to be exactly like that, but the idea of showing browser tricks on a large screen is essential.

It can't be a documentary, it has to be a comedy to hit all ages. And it has to be with some major actor that even people over 70 or overseas would recognize.

We would all benefit from it. And if you get this ball rolling do the right thing and find my IP address to make me part of this movie :-)
