Oh, please, I'm so tired of people blaming parents for everything. This is a business that publicly states that they are trying to enforce security, but yet their efforts continually prove to be inadequate. If I purchase any product from a vendor, and their support and warranties are inadequate, I have the right and responsibility to complain. Sadly, most vendors' support and warranties don't have to bolster security measures that affect children's lives.
I'm glad you're such an excellent parent. I know that I believe my parenting skills are strong as well, however, I understand that not everyone has the open relationship with their children that we may have, not every parent has the time, or means to monitor their children as we do...therefore, those parents need help and support as well. MySpace claims it does have security measures in place, and yet it does not. That is the bottom line...not whether or not those security measures apply to you.
