Although I believe My Space bears some responsibility, I think you are way off base. If some people would parent instead of just having babies and letting those babies do what they want, there probably wouldn't be as many problems as there are. Instead we have let the gov't. step in and tell us there will be no consequences if our children mess up but there will be consequences if we try to parent and limit our childrens "freedom". The gov't has done very little and gotten it right. What makes us think that they got this right? Have you ever read Orwell's "1984"? Maybe you should. I don't much care for "big brother". The gov't is lazy and a lot of parents have allowed their mandates to be an excuse to be a lazy parent. Five year olds find others to blame...that is a kid behavior. Adults are supposed to be accountable for their actions, or lack thereof. It's time to stop blaming others and blame the person that we see in the mirror and the little ones that live in our house. My Space has to "police" thousands, perhaps millions. How many people do these parents have to police? One? Two? I am not saying My Space is doing or not doing a good job. I am just saying that parents should do better with their own children than anyone else. And blame themselves and their own children FIRST!
