Until you show me proof of WGA (or WPA if you insist on confusing the two) sending personally identifiable data back to Microsoft, you're blowing smoke. And until I see a virus definition for WGA in Norton Antivirus, and a technical analysis of WGA on Symantec's virus library web site, I'm going to continue pointing out your lack of research.
Let's look at boot times, for example. No one's even taken a stopwatch to XP pre-WGA and post-WGA to see if boot times really have increased, and posted those numbers. No one in the computer security industry even bothered to do such a simple test that requires no programming or debugging experience, and publish the results.
