A recent lawsuit filed against Microsoft should have all companies reexamining their privacy policies to determine what information they are actually collecting about customers, and what they can possibly do with it.

Why should I have to load up RAID drivers before an install when I am making such a fundamental change to my system, what if my drives had failed and I decided to upgrade to RAID because of this?... Maybe I decided to upgrade to a larger drive capacity and didnt want to be fussed with Ghost or didnt know about ghost as I am an end user fiddling! Do Ford or Toyota tell you to buy a new key when you decide to change your wheel trims or buy a new exhaust system? Get with reality!
Microsoft are using end user ignorance and bully tactics to get people to agree to install software that has NOTHING to do with security of their computer onto the system, and in the process will make a large number of machines unsecure by blocking updates which aids to spam and bot networks.
Do Microsoft have the right to defend their property from theft... Yes! Within reason...
Do Microsoft have the right to collect information on me, without my EXPRESS and warrented permission... NO!...
Should I ever find them doing so you can be certian a Computer Misuse and Infrimgement of Privacy lawsuit would be filed a damn site quicker than MS could retract their "unremovable" software from my desktop. Which begs an interesting question should this WGA be found to be an infringement who foots the bill for removing it(considering its unremovable)/reinstalling OS's for end users?
If the point were to be really argued no end user should be clicking "I AGREE" to any MS EULA without full legal consultancy first as they are no adaquately qualified to determine if they can legally abide by the agreement in the first place. However the bulk of users trusts MS are not doing anything underhanded and are as good as their word, I for one dont belive a bar of it and belive MS are just like any other large corporate entity.
