This is not a judgement we can pin on the "sleaze bag" spam-producing companies only. Big Biz has had their way for ALONG TIME, aided by government (aren't they less and less 'the people' ?) and given legitimacy by purchasing friendly law. Sucessful business is increasingly monopolistic (they've got us by the proverbial nuts) and corrupt in that they buy their way out of inconvenient rules and into tailor-made ones.
Ethics? not in business and not on Wall Street; sorry... and, oh, mostly not in government either - Though there are (fortunately) wonderful exceptions.
