No agenda here. The point I was making re media culture is that attitudes about ethics are influenced by the media. If the portrayal of unethical behaviour is positive, with few negative consequences, then the idea that such behaviour is acceptable and appropriate becomes more socially accepted. Add in the dubious performance of the news media over the past few years and the point is clearer. Things like making heroes out of Ken Ley, Bernie Ebbers et al, failing to follow up on or question numerous distortions of facts by politicians and assorted public officials. I hope this clarifies the point.
