Sure it hasn't changed the fact that it would be illegal, the issue here is they can remotely disable the product, thus not allowing for normal illegal issues to get solved in the proper place, the judiciary. They are attempting to be the enforcer of the EULA, which they really dont have jurisdiction to do so. They should only be allowed to disable your software after proper purchase of the rights after filing an injuction.

I can't belive we let them get away with this as consumers.
