Unfortunately, I'm not sure the point of this article. While it is one thing to gape about the idiocies of your average human being in the company of fellow geeks (I mean, who else is reading this on SecurityFocus?), but to chastise someone to wipe their disks, but provide absolutely no options? Unfortunately, that does no one any good.

While most of the people on this site know how to properly format and wipe a disk, if I go outside the geek realms, very few people know what the even means, let alone know how to do it. Fewer still know how to pull files off a system like that.

Brow-beating people is not going to work.
