Mark,

your wishlist is almost reality today. But public knowledge about these technologies is very limited today.

The Trusted Computing Group (TCG) ( http://www.trustedcomputinggroup.org ) has been working on this for a few years now. The Army, Air Force and shortly the entire DoD will begin to implement these technologies.

What you need is a PC (Notebook) equipped with a TPM (Trusted Platform Module), add a key management server and an authentication server from Wave Systems Corp. software and you are good to go. Welcome to the new security world!
