The biggest reason xp is better for gaming than vista is direct x. Windows runs DX10 and emulates DX9. They did the same tyoe of thing on 360. Blows too 'cuz alot of game manufacterers, blizzard being one, have no intention on patching current popular games, WoW, to make it run.

To me it seems like programmers and MS all kinda dropped the ball on this one. Longhorn has been around for years and they all knew that it was coming they should have had something ready. Also that MS will no longer have any driver support for XP is crazy way to alienate alot of your customer base. They should have talked to tech guys we are the people that everyone is going to came ask if they should get Vista and it is a resounding NO!!!!!! One more reason to switch to linux!
