This also lends itself to leaving courts out completely. Someone could come up with a service providing GPS location services like those of cell phones. If such a solution were tied to operational functionality of the laptop (like every hour it phones home or the hardware locks itself down) then you could completely avoid the issue entirely. People willing to install Lo-Jack software would also be willing to install hardware IMO.


This sounds like a business opportunity for someone.
