I understand where you are going but I am appalled that a supposed leader would call for the direct unemployment of thousands of people working in a specific industry. If they are performing jobs they are not qualified for, it usually is because their superiors lack the skills to identify the qualities of someone they are looking for to fill a specific position.
Thruth has it that certs are personal and do not lead to much more than personal advance for the holder of the cert. Alltogether there are some good certs out there (GIAC still being among them) and in the end there are 'standards' like OSSTMM to 'certify' the quality of a specific product delivered.
