Not to be too pedantic, but the three events you described in the introduction of your article are normally called coincidences, "the occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident but seem to have some connection", rather than described as ironic, which "implies an attempt to be amusing or provocative by saying usually the opposite of what is meant", e.g. "Tim made the ironic observation that the government could always be trusted".
