Taking all the technology of this aside, what are you are saying is the following: the price being paid for labor does not match the value of the end product.

Fair enough. But this seems rather standard for all sorts of labor, within the security industry, or in the automobile factory. Essentially what you've done is apply Karl Marx's labor theory of value to the Pwn to Own competition.
