In the early 90's, I attended an academic conference in Hawaii. At one presentation, a colleague from the University of California at Berkeley whom I'll refer to as "the supervisor," told a story of young hackers, who he referred to as the Urchins.

Nobody's stopping the student from going to the CIO, Dean, Newsmedia, Board of Trustees, and State Attorney General (probably in that order). In the era of the major disclosures, you're going to get a reaction from the dean level and above if there is a legitimate issue.
I hope this drivel isn't part of Auburn's (As the author is a professor there, it's not surprising they're not paving the way academically, great football and party school though!) curriculum, as it'll open up the "I was just testing your network" defense for the real black hat guys.
