I've often thought of using passive fingerprinting to identify potential clients for Windows support or Novell support or whatever.
However, just the thought of using passive fingerprinting for this makes me feel sleezy.
I'm sure this is a hot topic and I would never suggest someone use this technique for the purpose I mentioned.
Ethics, it's interesting.
