Dear Mr. Forno,

I would like to know which brazilians you spoke to. :-)

Maybe I´m the only one who thinks like that but having been working with computer security in Brasil for years, I don´t think that your opinios reflect our real situation.

The ICP "law" growned up as a fight between federal executive, society and interested companies. The FUST( Fund of Universalization of Telecommunication Services?) became a fight between left-wing pro Linux politicians against Microsoft "suporters"...

Several Top 500 still using Microsoft based solutions to mission critical systems.

About the use of strong encription... well that´s your point. Until the release of Microsoft and Netscape internation strong crypto versions nobody would care about 128bits... Software like Stronghold and Apache-SSL where only a curious think without any serious advantage for too many IT personel.

Of course I congratulate you for your opinions. The 3 months I´ve spent on your country last year, weren´t enough to provide me full comprehension of the United States society, so I would recomend you to spend more time in Brasil, you are welcome. :-)
