Mr. Mullen, can you at least begin to understand the system administrators' hesitancy to install this patch? Agreed, this one has to be done. But MS patches have, indeed, caused further problems in the past--and the patches just keep coming and coming. Futher, why not blame Microsoft for writing buggy code that has to be constantly patched? Do you have any idea how difficult (and expensive) it is to install one patch--just one patch--across a global corporation with hundreds and thousands of servers? And why is Gartner "ridiculous?" Vulnerable systems=danger=down time=lost productivity. More stable systems=more safety=less down time=more productivity. Even a CIO can understand that.
