I understand the point of your article, although I don't completely agree.

I agree that having shared binaries/libraries will make it easier for crackers/hackers to gain access to machines. But it is a double edged sword. In having all the same binaries/libraries it might also make it easier for people using United Linux to collaborate security updates/patches much easier. No matter what the distro is...there will always be hackers. My best chance in the past and in the future is always to keep a close eye on system security just as I have done with any Linux/Unix system in the past. I for one am very excited about this new distro and am looking forward to trying it out on a couple of servers.
