So, what you're saying is that Linux has no *real* security, but rather hides in its myriad versions, revisions, and configurations; and therefore, in your mind, centralizing and standardizing will expose Linux as insecure? Interesting. Only time will tell, but if you're right, then Microsoft will prove itself the victor all along the way, at every step, as United Linux fails to agree on correct implimentation. Mind you, Windows has been standardized for far longer than any of the Linux versions (ie: there is only one Windows, but at least 30 versions of Linux, each different in how things are put together.) Standardization of Linux is "a good thing" and a darn good idea, that has taken far too long to get here. And perhaps, finally, there will be an improvement in the driver base (numbers not quality). I await UL, then we'll know. Until then, I think Lasser is barking up the wrong tree.
