Palladium holds Promise, and Peril
Tim Mullen, 2002-07-08

Whether Microsoft's ambitious project is a security solution or a Trojan horse depends much on the company's intentions.

I know that many people will embrace this "Palladium" concept, but I fear for the average consumser/end user.
How will this concept be implemented in the real world?.
Will Palladium really make my computer safer from viruses, trojans, worms,...?. I am not a MS hater, but this sounds like a case of the cure being worse than the disease. And I think MS got off easy, from their Anti-Trust case with the Gov.I think that MS is back doing bizz as usual, and they have learned litte from their experience. Also sounds like a great way to kill off any competition from Linux.

P.S. Perhapes "Palladium" is the ultimate trojan horse, with the ability to rob us of our LAST vestiges of privacy, and choice.
