1) Of course nobody has any concrete information because Palladium hasn't been created yet. Duh!
2) While it is true that the columnist has little concrete information, does it occur to you that you give absolutely NO concrete information? And how am I supposed to be convinced by you, rather than by him?
3) You're more rude, so you don't come across as well
4) Logically, it would make sense that what he is saying is true: a hardware layer would have to rely on SOME sort of signing, or how does it know what it's looking at? Obviously not everyone will be able to sign (or a signature is meaningless). Therefore... what he is saying makes sense. Whether or not you can "turn off" the hardware layer is another matter, but that might entail many consequences.
So please, think things through, and if you have any reason to think the things you do, say them!
