I know the guy and never heard HIM say he was the father of computer forenics, but I have heard people say that about him. What I have heard him say was the he was one of the early "pioneers" in the field (1984-1986) time frame. Which I believe is accurate based on the training and R&D he was doing around that time and the number of people that he trained from the late 80's to the mid 90's
