Everyone who has responded to this column so far has presented valid arguments, in support of or against the context of the column - individual retaliation/vigilantism to apparent intrusion of one's network. As it would be expected, a column as such brings out individual's fervor and zeal regarding such a hotly debated topic. This column is one of several underlying issues to a bigger issue at hand. The governements (and some may argue the larger corporations for that matter) of the largest industrialized countries of the world are giving ample opportunity for matters such as the one described in the column to be solved by the Internet community at large. If it cannot be solved by the community, it is only a matter of time before the governments, collectively or each on their own, decide on how to (re)act as to how much control and enforcement there should be on the Internet to ensure their own perceived stability and security.
