Citing a provision of the Patriot Act, the FBI is sending letters to journalists telling them to secretly prepare to turn over their notes, e-mails and sources to the bureau. Should we throw out the First Amendment to nail a hacker?

WHY NO SCAN OF THE FBI LETTERS? 2003-09-29
SCEPTIC
Not that I doubt the government frequently exceeds any bounds placed (whether legal, juridictional, or otherwise), but to have credibility, you need multiple witnesses attesting to facts without contradictions.

Also, a little physical evidence would help. Don't you have a scanner?
