Bill Gates is right about one thing: asking people to use a two-factor form of authentication would go a long way toward alleviating a lot of the password problems that plague computer security today.

Smart Cards may prove very helpful, however, I too doubt the feasability of biometrics. Identity theft has already been breached where fingerprints are concerned and likey soon will be breached in DNA, etc. I doubt we can incorporate a technical solution that the criminal mind cannot circumvent.
