It's a sad day when an ancient fork bomb attack can still take down most of the latest Linux distributions.

I tried this on my Fedora Core 3 machine, and while the load avaerage reached about 850.00, the machine was still responsive. I was able to open a new terminal and do a killall -9 on the process.

The default process limit on Fedora Core 3 is 8192.
