An Introduction to OpenSSL, Part Three: PKI- Public Key Infrastructure
2009-04-27

In the article I read:
"TLS/SSL uses PKI to provide authentication of the server to the client and to optionally provide authentication of the client to the server. "
Please forgive my ignorance, but isn't it certificate (from CA), which authenticates and key (of PKI), which encrypts?
