You don't need to reload Postfix if you make a change to a map file. You only do it if you add additional maps in main.cf. Otherwise, once you've run the postmap command (if needed), changes to the map files will be picked up as the existing Postfix worker threads (for each message) die off and get respawned for new incoming emails.
