It's not the language... It's the programmer! In my 17 years of development and 10 years in security management stemming from network and systems management, security is a subset of infrastructure management - infrastructure is the superset of application, server, network and storag, all of which require an OS and logic written in some programming language. Match the language to speed of development and maintenance of code including enhancements... I still do assembly with my left hand and C++/Java with my right! Concepts are concepts... :-)
