...which explains the huge armies of OSX-based zombies on 'teh Intarweb', all awaiting their IRC commands, right?
Oh, wait... ;)
In all seriousness, given Apple's rather not-so-rapid responses to the few that have surfaced, coupled with the smug 'I'm immune!' attitude of the typical Mac owner, one would think that having a large group of OSX zombies would be much more stable and profitable than having a pack of Win32-based ones, which tend to be a bit more dynamic in their numbers thanks to half-arsed diligence by the infected...
"Btw why is the care factor so high about mac vulnerabilities in general?"
Because I can count the number of successful OSX concept viruses/worms on one hand, and the number of successful wild OSX viruses/worms is a big fat zero.
" It's not like they are used for anything important. "
As long as that remains the prevailing thought, Mac users can continue to go online with near-impunity.
Cheers! (as I laugh from the lofty heights of my dual G5... :) )
