MySpace and the rest of the internet has become a part of peoples lives. Accept it. However, meeting people online is a dangerous practice, moreso for minors. Parents should be more careful about the education of their kids and more carefully monitor where they go. The assaulter should absoultely be jailed and the parents admonished for their lack of attentiveness but least myspace out of it. Millions of people use it with no reprecussions.
