Oh, they're getting close. The 2 taps are in Cedar Knolls, NJ and Kansas CIty, MO.

The primary being in NJ where you get not only ALL traffic crossing AT&T, but traffic going to ALL the Telco interconnects and ALL traffic as it feeds in/out to East :-)

As another "former" AT&T employee, I can tell you they haven't even come close to the depth of truth regarding the NSA and their sniffing.
