In my humble opinion the platform is not the main issue, user behaviour is a lot higher on the list. When remembering the story of Troy right, the people there let in what they believed was a horse instead of a team of warriors. In the same way trojans hide in what seem to be harmless tools, utilities and programs. If the dominant platform switches from Windows to MacOS, malware will start to increase for this platform. I'm a little scared when people at Sophos are that narrowminded.
