That paper regarding home users buy mac's just for security purpose alone is probably the most ignorant thing a consumer can do for themselves. One, mac's always tend to cost more, two, if everyone bought macs, then security will be focused on them, three, everyone would have to get compatible software, four macs aren't always the best or easier to replace or find compatible parts for.
