Could it be that the FBI knew he would be there and felt it would be easier to catch him there than trying to track him down? I don't think it was really a conspiracy to prevent the discussion, but just a matter of convienance.

Personally, I feel more private detectives should be charged for impersonating various officals and underhanded tactics. It's no different than Bush'es illegal wiretapping.
