Of course, PI's will NEVER tell you their methods in advance. That's because most methods are actually pretty simple, if you only knew where to look, so they regard the methods themselves as trade secrets and the selction of the appropriate method as the skills for which they are being paid.

That would be a crime, of course. At least, for addressed, USPS delivered mail.

That, however, is completely legal. In fact one of the most common perpetrators of investigative "dumpster diving" are reporters themselves!
