Ahhhhh, but if IHOP was giving *free* or *discounted* pancakes away for the your driver's License information I'm guessing the results would be *a lot* different.

I seem to remember letting a tobacco company representative scan a copy of my drivers license number at a bar in Palo Alto once. I got a free Zippo lighter in return (actually three free zippo's - the tobacco girl didn't really care how many times you came up). Admittedly I was a little drunk at the time...but still sober enough that I used an expired non-us driver's license (name obscured by a sticker) rather then my valid US driver's license. Take that big tobacco.
