Houghton's analysis is a little off the mark, as well, particularly his claim that the bug is "not a security issue".

Houghton acknowledges that even a supposedly "orderly" kernel panic is functionally equivalent to a system crash, and he also acknowledges that Safari users can see their system crashed over the web.

Non-vulnerability? Not quite.
