It's not that a big deal. Chinese hacked different labs, universities, state department, navy servers, etc. And they are doing it on a daily basis. Just check NIDS logs and You will see enormous number of scans, probes, coming from china based networks. The other thing is, are the Chinese only people attacking us networks from china based net infra. I don't think so. I can get into most of Chinese based networks pretty easy and if I can do it a lot of other people can do it as well. Chinese are targeting specific things and institutions. Which points to established strategy

planning and execution. Can US cope with the vast amount of attacks. Barely. Why? Fire up audit scanner and probe something with .gov extension or .mil. In 80% of the cases You'll find holes. Gapping holes. I agree You shouldn't talk about it, go back behind Your keyboard and patch those servers!!!
