You know, let me first go over the points I agree with on these replies...
1) They SHOULD get a legitimate warrant to subpoena information from MySpace. That is the way our country is supposed to work, that is the way we should be doing things.
2) The current system of defining sex offenders is completely incorrect, and needs major correction. You don't call someone a sex offender who is 19 and had sex with his 17 year old girlfriend.
Now, lets get to the 'other' points.
Anonymous...you are a GREAT example of the reasons that America is going to hell in a handbasket, and I actually can't believe I just read a letter by someone who 'likes children' who attempted to justify their actions as 'ok'. Let me set you straight...as I am the parent of a child, and you are merely using rubbish to justify your actions, for which you should be seeking help instead.
1) Do not attempt to justify your actions by giving examples of personalities who also may have felt the same way. That does not justify in in ANY way.
2) Do not attempt to justify your actions by stating that other items which you consider in the same vein. They are not. Online gambling is legal in many areas. Tax evasion is not. Kids trading pirating videos is illegal, but should be handled differently.
3) Do not generalize your 'argument' with comments like 'adults refuse to talk to them about". Idiot. I talk to my child about many things, including social issues such as yours. Do not even think you know what parents may talk to their children about.
4) Children heal quickly after sexual contact. I find your completely unsupported statements insulting and outrageous. So I should allow my child to have sexual contact with an adult because you claim they will heal and move on quickly. Most people will tell you that close contact with me doesn't hurt. However, maybe you should test that theory.
5) No, this is not hiding some 'corruption' or scandal as you claim. There really are parents out here who care about their children, talk to them, and don't want them to have contact with socially challenged people such as yourself. I remember my childhood pretty well, and me and my friend would have found your attempts to make contact with us very abhorrent.
