This is a nice example of how Microsoft's determination to prevent piracy by implementing the Genuine Advantage program is actually promoting the spread of maleware by disabling security updates from their pirated OSs. The OS is going to be pirated, no matter what, no question, someone will find a way. So why not roll with the punch and do the right thing for internet security?
