What I do not understand in cases like these is why do goverment agencies cant vent off such kind of attacks in the first place.
Most large coprate networks have multi-layered architectures with the DMZ sufficently protected to take care of unique attacks with heuristic mechanisms. Even endpoint systems are protected with similar solutions. Is it possible that govt agencies do not have such a robust architecture??
