It was sure to happen. Most informed users abandoned MS IE because the the vulnerabilities. Now with a larger user base, Firefox became a larger target, which alone can be a reason for this vulnerability.
Firefox is still, and always will be, a far more superior and secure browser to use.
IMHO: IE will soon be the "alternative browser" of choice, not the primary browser in use.
