I think you'll find that the majority of 'security pros' who think biometrics are a good idea for access control work in sales.
Also the answers from surveys are all in the questions. I question that survey that's for sure.
I'm a 'security pro' and CISSP, and biometrics are worthless for identification and dubious for authentication (at best).
Would you leave your keys everywhere you go? Or be prepared to change your eyeballs or genome? No? Point made then.
